Sunflower Afternoon

The children's garden inside the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is filled with huge sunflowers,  morning glories and snow peas climbing tipi shaped trellises, various edible goodies, becconing the youngster to wander the paths, touch, smell, and nibble, and delight in our natural world.  I painted these sunflowers in that very garden, on an unusually hot late summer afternoon.  The sun shining shining through the glowing leaves attracted me to this composition.
